Schindler Hydraulic Internal Elevator at Belk Columbiana Centre Mall in Harbison

Riding the internal elevator at Belk at Columbiana Centre Mall in Harbison, SC. (Northwest Columbia). This is my best retake of this elevator. The weird thing about this mall is that Columbia has annexed it to the city so it can get the monetary benefits from the mall. The mall is located in Lexington County, about 3 miles northeast of Lake Murray, on Harbison Blvd. (a huge shopping area) right off Interstate 26.

The mall is owned by GGP, a bankrupt mall management company which actually tried to close this mall down. The interesting fact about this mall, which has a Latin American theme, is that the security there is Allied-Barton, which many of you think only exists in Simon malls.

I believe Monmouth Mall also uses Allied-Barton and it is not a Simon property.

@escalatorgeek881 Indeed. That elevator is in excellent condition, and I love the dark-mid tone wood they used at the elevator entrance (I believe that is cherry, but I am no expert). That tile is also really nice. That is an example of timeless 1990s-2000s architecture (stuff that won't look like crap in a decade), so they probably won't need to renovate the store for years if they keep it up well.

The Natick Collection (Natick, Ma.), a GGP mall, also has Allied-Barton mall cops. They didn't seem to care about me recording the people movers.
