"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God." - Psalm 20:7
On the early morning of October 29th, 2011, after a successful Mule Deer hunt near Prairie, Idaho, two Washington men, father and son, were travelling down our mountain road, "Blacks Creek", which is 35 miles of narrow dirt road, with many blind turns, and some grades. The accident took place along the canyon rim of the Boise River, South East of Arrowrock Reservoir. They were pulling a 5th wheel trailer, with 4 horses, the harvested Deer, and other hunting supplies and equipment. Exactly what took place is not known, but the father, who was driving, lost control of the pickup, a 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins. The truck and trailer dis-attached, and the tuck went off the cliff, apparently hitting rocks first, tail-down, ejecting father and son. It then continued disintegrating all of the way down to the River, which is over 600ft less in elevation than the road. It is a miracle that these two men survived this accident. This short film was compiled to remind us all of the dangers of Blacks Creek, and to thank the LORD for his hand of protection on it's travelers.
