I think he is watching how to react from people of whom he brutally oppressed during his powerful period. This is kind of test on the how people response to his cruel action against people. Now he saw that how people are nice to him even he committed a lot of criminal action against people.

I am sure there are mix feeling or not like him at all if u r from 88 generation. However.. luckily I was too young to remember 88! The thing is Burma have many generals and I m confident to say he was the best. He did what he had to do 2gain powerful and earn his respect by right ways or wrong ways but he did sure gain popularity! He was the only one who really want to see the unity of the country within the military gov and that why Obviously.. he is best out of worst since he got arrested!!!

@nangshwewothmoun75 If you haven't follow Burmese politics, you might think Khin Nyunt is a good guy. He is far from being a good guy. Like you see in this interview, he is a very savvy person. He portrayed himself as a good guy both to the Burmese public and international community. The truth is he spearheaded the crackdown in 1988 and masterminded the arrest and torture of many political activists. He is a two faced person who deceive many people.
