@cober6711 Did you get a room tour of the Sheraton in Niagra Falls NY?? When I went to Niagra Falls NY we stayed at a very nice Holiday Inn.

@dieselducy It depends on the hotel itself (and perhaps the room you get). Having SPG Gold tends to get decent rooms. This was indeed an 'upgraded' room.
For example, If you book on Priceline, you usually get stuck in a less desirable room.
I remember checking into the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco back a few years ago (I'd used Priceline) and the desk clerk stated 'I wouldn't DARE stick you in THAT room' after seeing what room I had been assigned and I ended up in a corner room.

@cober6711- I don't prefer sheraton and Marriot because the buildings are really crappy looking.

@TheElevatorPlanet I like Sheraton as well, however a recent experience at a 'new' Sheraton in Niagara Falls, NY left a lot to be desired. Although, the Sheraton on the Falls (located in Niagara Falls, ON) is an outstanding hotel!!!
As you can see, I do have a room tour on that hotel as well

Yes, I will say that the Sheraton Centre Toronto is a bit of an eyesore, but it is a pretty good hotel. It depends on the hotel itself. However, some Four Points hotels are real eyesores! An example might be the Four Points Chicago Midway Airport, which is a very ugly hotel, but it was perfectly adequate for my needs. Plus, you could stay there for 4 nights for the same amout of points as 1 night downtown!

@TheElevatorPlanet They used to have terrible shampoo, soap, etc until they came out with their current stuff, and believe me, their bath products are truly heavenly!
