Heres a little video on how to get the Spring Ball. Its a very useful tool.

[Note: While i was gone, i went looking for remaining items on Brinstar and Crateria. Oh and dont ask why i have the Ice Beam unequiped here. I also showed a little deminstration on the Reserve tanks.]

Upgrades Obtained-
Missle Tanks: (5 tanks, 22 in total and 85+25=110 missles)
Super Missle Tanks: (3 tanks, 6 in total and 15+15=30 Super Missles)
Power Bomb Tanks: (1 tank, 4 in total and 15+5=20 Power Bombs)
Energy Tanks: (5 and 12 in total)
Reserve Tanks: (2 tanks and 3 in total)
Spring Ball: This is an upgrade that allows Samus to jump in Morph Ball form. Its pretty useful and replaces Bomb Jumping. However in Zero Mission and Fusion, when you get the Hi-Jump, Samus will also gain the Spring Ball but in this game, the Hi-Jump and Spring Ball are seperate.

How to get the Spring Ball: From the room at the bottem of the tube, head into the right door. Ignore all the creatures and keep moving until you see an area with quicksand and a crumbled grapple block. Grapple the block but let go right after. The block will stay permenantly destroyed until you leave the room and thus it will expose a new path. Jump into the tiny hole and you will be in a paraell wall area. You could either Space Jump or use the Wall Jump technique to make it to the top. Be careful at the top because theres some creatures that can knock you down. Move to the other side and fall down until you see a door on the right. Enter the door and drop a power bomb. There are some sand blocks that cannot be destroyed by weapon fire (there only found in this part of the game) and this grinding creature. After you lay the power bomb, it will destroy a wall of Power Bomb blocks infront of the Sand Wall. The grinding creature will cut through the Sand Wall. Whatever you do, do not destroy the grinder or you'll have to re-enter the room. Once you make it to the other side, there is a little morph ball maze. At the end has the Spring Ball.
