The good:
Matches Sony in capability to connect and switch between external video sources easily; Recipe Box touch program best kitchen app we've seen; smart touch app partnerships with Hulu, Twitter, and Netflix; loud enough to fill a room.

The bad:
Slow performance; touch input suffers from occasional unresponsiveness.

The bottom line:
If HP's TouchSmart 600 won't at least get you thinking about the idea of bringing a PC into your kitchen, the concept truly has no hope. With well-though-out touch apps, a wide, easy-to-use array of digital media features, and an attractive, flexible design, HP's new all-in-one is not the fastest new all-in-one, but it has the most comprehensive and compelling set of features of any all-in-one launching alongside Windows 7.

I've got a macbook pro, and after playing with this at the store today, I with the money I paid for that, I could have gotten one of these with decently upgraded specs. I only buy mac laptops, but this, while not soon WILL be my first desktop computer.

Yeah apple is nice but it dosn't have the feature ppl are buying it for which is the touchscreen feature.

I have the Windows 7 tablet, and now I have this. Mine has 750GB of hard drive! =D A lot of space and it is really quick. Not as fast as the MacBook Pro but close by there. XD

How is the HP Touchsmart 600-1350 PC and does it play Sims 3....also how is it with the xbox360?

@nameis12396 then the next gen will get more competition and that will led to better things in the market.

why take an ipad outside use a phone or a netbook that can do more. then at home why use it again if you have a desktop.

apple over prices everything and that is their biggest downfall.

then they take the old gear (gpu's, cpu's, ram'hdd) and over price them and they are not even the new gear for that time.

windows and others are not perfect but they at least keep up for a descent $

@gamerneek still apple has to realize what is good now. when is the future for flash over.

but then next one will have a camera at the most. come 4 g's to put a camera on an ipod. also the ipad cant be a desktop with the iphone os running and then you get to the fact that it has 64gb for like 900 dollars. - can get better for that price like a laptop.

it has nothing to an actual desktop and then with mac software it will then have ad campaigns to seem others but not mention anything new

You can use bluetooth keyboards, and flash is likely to be phased out in the near future due to it being a 10 year old technology, and you . Multitasking and wireless printing have been fixed.

I own both a Touchsmart (as a secondary wall mounted desktop, not a main PC) and an iPad, and definitely prefer the iPad.

The only thing drastically important for a netbook/tablet that the iPad lacks is USB ports...hopefully the next iPad will fix that.
