@thelittlepicture Hardly the first time the US govt treated its citizen's like this. Especially tragic since we really had no place in The Great War war to begin with.
-
And to this day they are still betrayed in everything including the farce of defending our freedom. The only threat we face is a internal threat from those in charge.
-
And yet between 1914-17 the United States Government's coffers were bulging from the sale of ten of thousands of American horses and mules that were purchased by Great Britain, for the war effort. In memory of all Servicemen and Women, who served and suffered in that horrendous primitive conflict. A Nation's Veterans betrayed. Despicable.

Wow... so they drafted them, sent them to a war that was none of their business, paid them slave wages, and then refused to compensate them until 30 years later... and then they gassed them. yeah, uh, FUCK YOU AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!!!

It looks like American government has never been worth a dam.

why do people compare OWS to the bonus army there arent even similiar

US Law Enforcement and the US Military are neither foes nor friends, the majority of domestic enemies are "elected" city, county, states and federal Democratic and Republican politicians! US Public Law Enforcement personnel mainly peace officers and security officers from the city, county, states and federal level are neither enemies nor friends!

@thelittlepicture It is incredibly pathetic, although such brutal and horrific injustices continue to be inflicted upon war veterans today. Marine Iraq veteran Scott Olsen is still recovering in an Oakland hospital from the severe injuries he suffered at the hands of local police officers while he was peacefully demonstrating in public space.
Should be required viewing for all students of American history. WWI vets "gassed" by their own country's Army. Pathetic.
