what about katrina...
-
damnn this was the most active atlantic hurricane season on record...
and also broke previous records...
damn katrina got sooo HUGE...
she was bigger than all those hurricanes...then wilma came alone...with the lowest central pressure measured over the atlantic basin...
and that made her stronger than katrina...

yeah and in summer 06, even though it was quite in the atlantic, had hurricane ioke in the east pacific, which set the record for the highest ACE from one single cyclone. the previous record was hurricane ivan (atlantic)
btw the pressure for cyclone monica isn't really agreed on. some people say its 905, some say its 892, and some say its 879

holy crap, if you look at the far left of Tropical Storm Jose, you can see an intensifying Hurricane Hilary of the 2005 Pacific Hurricane Season.

WOW! Great job. I didnt really pay attention until Katrina got my attention. Then Rita got my house. Then I didnt have TV anymore that year. But after Humberto came creeping like a thief in the night,Then Edouard I started paying close attention. Then IKE. UGH! LOL. this was impressive!

Great Vid! Yeah i think 2005 will be very hard to beat. I also think it was a huge learning experience for all the experts because the season broke alot of bounds. So active was the East Pacific? I also think from spring 2004 to spring 2006 was extreme arround the WORLD not just in the atlantic. Australia Almost had a similar season in terms of number of stoms. Cyclones Larry and Monica were extreme and monica had a 879 pressure. And dont forget Brazil got hit with a cat 2 in march of 04

Heh, the music playing while the records are being listed is from Chrono Trigger. I was listening to it and I was like "Damn...this sounds familiar!"
Great video. Very informative! :)
From the Navy cyclone website.
I just put a link to the website in the description of this video.
