Man I saw Simon (one of my favorite players) play Mannarino today in St. Petersburg and his performance looked nowhere near as good as how he played in this video, he's had a great year but has seemed to have slowed down lately.

Toicki got lucky his ball was called out at 1:04. If it wasn't called then it was an easy put away for Simon. However the out call meant Troicki could challenge and it took away the easy put away for Simon.

Did anyone watch this match live? Could you tell me if that point at 1:04 had to be replayed, despite Simon's obvious winning passing shot?

what simon lacks in height and serve speed, he compensates for with his variation in shot choices lithe movements as he moves into the net and around the baseline. he reminds me of a cat. he's so graceful in his movements!

@Eternallybig i totally agree!! i'm surprised that the commentators didn't take note of it. i'm just wondering but did troicki wear that outfit throughout his other matches? i haven't seen any of his matches so i'm not sure. it's a weird thought that crossed my mind at one point, but i actually thought it could be used as a tactic to psych out the opponent. i mean they reminded me of the bryan brothers or something. imagine how annoying it would be to dress the exact same as each other.

Simon is so fast on the baseline and his passing shots were immaculate. Amazing result for a player who doesn't have a power game. Tres bien, allez Simon!
