  • if it wasn't so damn expensive to buy more people would use it.

  • Too true!!! Hopefully the price will keep falling and some sensible support mechanisms will enable more people to use sustainable choices!

  • latteliberal/whatthefuckdude! is your daddy an oil baron, where you dropped on your head a few to many times, you un learned twat, go look into something before ya put ya foot up your own ass again, wake up dickhead.

  • Hi, I appreciate a brisk and passionate responses, and though I agree with you that Latteliberal is making statements that don't reflect reality I would like to ask you to please post with passion but avoid obscenities. I will delete comments with language inappropriate for kids. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

  • It takes a lot of energy to produce one of these solar arrays and they only produce about enough energy to power a microwave. Solar is a joke.

  • What I've learned having installed a system is:

    - it's expensive

    - it generates more than 4000 watts(enough to power many microwaves)

    - it saves us more than $95 per month

    - it reduces the CO2 given off by our family by 7 tons annually

    - it will pay for itself in under 12 years...

The only thing funny about solar is that it's not being adopted by more people. It's a matter of awareness ... And its being improved in efficiency and the costs are going down.

  • the economical crisis is bankrupting some companies making solar panels : /

  • @SidewaysCowboy I love how he just cussed you out and you took it so awesomely.

  • if there was more competition in building sola panels

every on e would buy this

  • @SidewaysCowboy

It is more affordable these days. And by the next 5-years it would be more affordable and more efficient. Hopefully a lot of people will be building their own homemade solar panels and can easily generate free alternative energy. Solar power for homes, I believe is the key for cleaner and greener future. And, hopefully I can run all my house in solar power.

  • But Until Now Most of the Inverter Around the World Still Can't Pass The RCD Most Inverter Are Problem With RCD Safety .I Have an Experiment For About 12 Years Already until Today About 16 Inverter Experiment Most Of Them Are Not Pass Home RCD ???? It Was Unsafe.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

  • @captinseperoth I didnt know about Thorium until i researched it today , looks very promising. I like Solar though as a suplemental resource as it can be produced on a very local level. 7 percent of power generated is lost in the power grid.

  • @hablerz

we can reprocess it,and/or use it in fast breeders.

there are other elements you can use other than uranium which are alot more safer but produce a tad bit less energy.

tee element is known as thorium, and currently there are 3 times as much thorium than currently known uranium "stocks".

also thorium is deadly for a few hundred years 100-500.

atomic energy has come so far compared to 80s tech.

did you know 400,000 people die from coal pollution per year in china vs atomic ener?
