Why people protest against US radar base ?

The "No to the Bases" initiative formed in June 2006 as a response to the news about US-Czech negotiations, held without public knowledge, to place a permanent US military base in the Czech Republic. The main objectives of the initiative is to prevent the installation of a US radar base in the Czech Republic by using non-violent forms of action and to demand a referendum on this issue.

Members of the initiative aim to stimulate and contribute to public debate surrounding the issue and to inform the public about the consequences of the establishment of a permanent US military base in the Czech Republic.

"No to the Bases" initiative is a wide informal coalition open to organizations and individuals agreeing with its objectives and principles. Members of the Initiative include approximately sixty organizations and many prominent individuals.

Demonstrace a protesty k ničemu nepovedou. Spíš by mě zajímalo, jestli jsou iniciátoři této iniciativy ochotní se příchodu američanů fyzicky postavit?! Vyřvávání pár desítek lidí po ulicích s transparenty je hra pro děti.

typku, nase mesto taky osvodili americani. tak na to nesahej. Jo shodili v 45 atomovku na japonce. Studoval jsem historii, tak vim, ze v asii valka tehdy jeste zdaleka nebyla vyhrana, mohla trvat jeste spousty let. otazka je, zda nemohli japonce jenom normalne vybombardovat jako nemce...ale lidi by tak zemrelo asi mnohem vic, japonci byli navic roztazeni uplne v cele vychodni asii a oceanii. co se tyce radaru, zkousl bych ho, jenm kdyby ho potrebovalo cely NATO.jeden za vsechny...

když jste takový mirový aktivisti, nechápu proč vám vadí radar. radar je taková věc se kterou se čumí do luftu a  nedá se sní nic sestřelit ani na nikoho zaútočit, mimochodem takových věci v ČR už máme hromadu
