AU Dasey // The Freshmen

PLEASE READ BEFORE VIEWING FOR PLOT!!!

-Purple and orange scenes represent the beginning of the story, when Casey and Sam were in a relationship.
-Green and pink scenes represent the period in time when Truman and Casey were in a relationship.
-Blue and white scenes represent the present.
-Hot pink and black scenes represent Derek and Casey's secret relationship while Casey was still with Sam and Truman.

Now for the plot: Derek and Casey are attracted to each other, but Casey doesn't want to start a relationship with him due to the fact that they are stepsiblings. Casey falls in love with Sam while Derek watches on in pain, wishing it was him she was kissing instead. However, one day Sam finds about Derek and Casey's ever-growing relationship and he commits suicide. Casey and Derek are left devastated at the fact that their best friend is gone...
A few years later, Casey starts dating Truman, much to Derek's dismay. Unfortunately, Truman turns out to be an abusive, cheating boyfriend who is seeing Casey's cousin on the side. Casey breaks down and finds solace in Derek, but Truman won't be dumped. He tries to fight Derek, but Casey stops it before things get too out of hand. Derek refuses to see Casey continue to suffer, however, and he finds Truman in an alley way and beats him until he's bleeding. Truman falls on the concrete, hitting his head.
Derek is sentenced to go to jail for his crime- the murder of Truman French. He is not sentenced to death due to self defense and mental issues, but he must remain in jail and rehab for 10 years. Casey cannot take anymore heartbreak, and she slowly begins to lose it, seeing Derek everywhere.
Derek can't stand being locked up and he begins to go out of his mind as well. He manages to escape from jail and plans to change his name and start anew with Casey in the U.S. The private investigators have a different idea, though, and as soon as they hear Derek has gone missing, they go to Casey's house for answers. Casey, not knowing that Derek has escaped, admits to helping murder Truman...
And the rest, my dears, is up for you to decide.

I thought this was AMAZING, especially with the difficulty of the complicated plot. The different colors totally helped, I especially loved the blue and green. I thought the matching of clips was wonderful, and including clips from Regenisis was a really great idea.

However, despite all of that awesomeness, I have to say my favorite part of this were the voiceovers, especially at the end :)

Overall, just a fantastic job :D
