Kabir Suman is nearly right, It was written by Dylan in 1960, first sung by Joan Baez and recorded by her in 1965......Really Dylan didnt sing / recoded the song till 1991.....and it was absolutely famous as the Joan Baez version not the dylans one.....anyway, dylan sang it later on.....I am fond of Joan Baez version.....its individual preference though.....
