Patrick Schwerdtfeger discusses search engine optimization (SEO) and how to build some one-way inbound links pointing to your website by creating "feeder" sites on platforms like Squidoo, Blogger and WordPress. By maintaining feeder sites and periodically updating the content on those sites, you can create and control a number of inbound links to your primary website or blog.

This video is about building feeder sites on Weebly, Webs, WordPress, Blogger, Squidoo and others and then linking them all to each other and also to your primary website or blog. In so doing, you accumulate inbound one-way links that you fully control and that can boost your website's ranking on search engines like Google and Yahoo.

Patrick, why is your site only 1.5 M on Alexa? Just curious?

@EngineeringFun because my blog is horribly out-of-date. I haven't posted anything in months. It's awful. But I get busy just like everyone else. I'll be getting back to it soon and I'm sure the traffic will pick back up when I do. Thanks for watching the video. I appreciate it.

Great short info about link building. I am currently using this software that can tell me which addresses to link every week. Although I know which addresses, I still don't know how to create links to these sites. Can anyone help. Should I just comment on the reply button and tell them my site? Thanks

@yamadin I'm not sure which sites your software is recommending but the best thing you can do to gain links from other people's blogs is to link to THEM first. Outbound links = currency. Also, article marketing is a great way to get live inbound links to your site. I have a video on that so feel free to search for it on my channel. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi Patrick, unfortunately as you have mentioned "Live link in the description section of Youtube". Wht i could see again a no follow tag associated with the links here as well. Can you tell me what did you exactly mean ?

@pinaki1001 Thank you for the comment. As it turns out, YouTube has now added no-follow tags to all outbound links. It was a great opportunity while it lasted but the SEO benefits have now diminished.
