AO-51 2401.200Mhz downlink reception test - 17March2009 18:40utc

Receiving the 2401.200Mhz analogue downlink from Echo Satellite (AO-51) using a homemade synthesized transverter and 8dBi patch antenna. Yaesu FT-897 as FI receiver.
The transverter isn't finished yet, this was just a test with poor and noisy amplification to show its potential. This is my final degree project.
Current gain is under 20dB and system NF is over 5dB. Anyway AO-51 signals came at S6 with fully readable FM voice. Strong fadding due to atmosfere, unmatched linear polarizations and fixed antenna position.
