A2A B-17, First try

Lord, what a gorgeous & detailed sim. Manual alone is 159 pages. But it's all fun! At present, I'm too dumb to avoid fouling the plugs. and that's with an automated start.

This is my first "purchased" addon for FSX. I think A2A made "Wings of Power II: B17" a couple of years ago. And just now, Accu-Sim has made an addon to that addon. Amusing. Since you can't run the latter without the former, I bought the bundle (about $60). I got my money's worth. Only wished I could view crew stations besides the cockpit.

this is a nice aircraft, very realistic, but it would be nice if i could actually get it off the ground without it having problems...

@jpro747 the 1st time (video) I started on "auto". Even so, must be cracked open at the start. This simulator is trully as "real as it gets". As with real world aircraft, reading the manual is the only way to master it. It'll teach the mechanical theory so you can do your own troubleshooting not to mention speeding the learning curve.

ya but gustaf ive had it happen with other planes too. I got a prop strike on all engines and i cant un-bend them lolol. Ill have to cruise the forums. Ive shut the game off.. restarted my pc.. reset the flight ect lol no effect

btw this is RCAFFBSal but again these planes are amazing so tyvm!!

@TheitaniofRome Thought you were joking about the props, Sal. Accu-Sim's B17 retains all the wear and tare from previous flight. Have to go to "hangar" section and select the repair. But I think you already know that. If that doesn't do it - it's a bug.

@TheitaniofRome around the cockpit and get going but this is a whole nother level and i love it!!!! no if only the fsx team had these standards it would be a fligh simers paradise :) i hope these A2a guys make a full standalone game.

lol no joke. it was caused by a spawn glitch. I spawned with 3/4 of my wheels underground which made my props strike. And no i didnt realise there was a hanger function. lo im a dumbass i guess lolol but thanks for the info. Ill record a vid of my first flight and post it on my channel.. that is if i can keep my engines alive long enough to even reach the end of the runway. Ive just started reading and making notes most flight sims i can fumble
