Following hot in the footsteps of my team-made fan-game "Vohaul Strikes Back" and IA's "SQ2 Remake", I'm proud to finally announce the release of "Space Quest: Incinerations."

Based on the Sierra game series from Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe, SQInc is an adventure game six years in the making. It re-imagines the SQ universe in the style of a modern sci-fi action-thriller, featuring 3D-rendered sprites and backgrounds, over 45 minutes of fully-animated cinematics, alternate endings, trophies, and over an hour's worth of original music.

As an animator, this game has been a real thrill ride to make. I want to thank everyone who's supported it, along with the talented people who've contributed their efforts to making it happen. I also want to thank the adventure game community for staying alive and staying strong.

  • great. can you post some gameplay for this?

  • @ketrov

This trailer already features game-play. I'll probably update the channel with some short play-through clips later next month.

  • As another animator, this looks excellent! Don't think I've seen an point-and-click with anything like so much action packed in - downloading tonight and can't wait. Well done!

  • @ChrisIceBox

"Full Throttle" from LucasArts also follows a similar "point-and-click mixed with action" design, but I think remaking Full Throttle would have been a lot less hassle than this. I sort of got a little carried away with the animation in some parts. Hope you enjoy it!

  • This year is a damn good year for Space Quest fans. Now all we need is AGI-style remakes of Space Quest III and especially II and I think we're set for life! (An enhanced version of Space Quest I with full voice-acting wouldn't hurt, either.)

  • @JosephCollins

You might want to check out the Infamous Adventures website if you're looking for a VGA Space Quest 2 remake.

I spotted that almost immediately after I wrote this comment. I am excited!! This makes FOUR Space Quest games to completely devour my time! (Vohaul Strikes Back, Space Quest 4½, Space Quest: Incinerations, and Space Quest II VGA.)
