Mohawk Adirondack and Northern railroad C425 805 is caught switching customers at the Griffiss industrial park in Rome NY around1-2pm January 23rd 2009. The 805 is still wearing British Columbia RR paint and sports an impressive horn. All angles except for the last one are in the industrial park. The last angle is the train accelerating out of CP248 on the CSX Mohawk subdivision (Conrail Chicago line, New York Central main) on the way back to Utica. 805 was originally Erie Lackawanna 2455

  • yeah these suckers always have awesome horns!- i am part of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad- we have our shop in Rome.

  • @BrettMayaAllisonTory Meet a C425 at a crossing and tell me it's a small locomotive. I consider a small locomotive to be something under 100 tons and generally closer to the 50 ton and under range. And yes an ES44 is a larger locomotive than this C425. It's all relative.

    Model trains are "small". :)

  • @Lutherkb Loving all trains, and having a collection of over 230 HO model locomotives (all of them being american), I can tell you that among , GE AC 4000 and 6000, dash 8, SD 45 to 90, even E series, UP-NW-CO-SP-PA Mallet, 4-8-4, 2-10-4... not to forget giants electrics of PA, MW, VG..., this Alco is a little engine. That I love so

much, seeing and hearing it shoving hard in the cold to do her duty !

  • @BrettMayaAllisonTory Over 200,000 pounds is a little engine? ;)

  • After seeing this cute video, I rushed for Ebay to buy the Atlas HO model of this

    heartbreaking little engine.
