This was a short video I took during the final inspection of our new KME Engine on June 9 2008. This video was shot at the KME plant in Nesquehoning PA. Hopefully we will have it in full service within a month or so.

  • @stpeterfire Yea, stand up for Navistar

  • @ryanlovestosnowboard might be so in northern America :)

But they wouldn't be that succesful in Europe or Asia

  • @coolsax64 I think there is always be a reason why a department choose or don't choose a certain producer. btw.: There's not just that one which is good: Even if the quality is very good, it might not be suitable: Could be to expensive, might not fit in the area, like in Europe and Asia, cause it has a very different concept (like all the north american fire trucks, no matter if Pierce, KMW or Seagrave, they are very different from Rosenbauer, Ziegler or Magirus

  • @pyroman6000: KME builds their own pumps sometimes, but KME is junk. Period.

  • @xdmproductions Probably has a lot to do with KME being in central PA. Much easier and cheaper to get to the factory for inspections and warranty/support. They probably have a lot of dealers in the area as well. Makes life interesting when you need to travel thousands of miles to do an inspection, or get dealer support!

  • @NC403Firefighter Wouldn't those issues belong to the pump builder?
