how do you practice flying a one man aircraft? do u just spend a few weeks controlling it on the ground and then fly it when u know all the controls well?

5 gallons in a spun aluminum tank in the wing, range at 3600 rpm or roughly 55 mph is about 2 hours (100+miles) and you can land with about a gallon of fuel left.

@jimiorezzoli what's the range on that? Would it be possible to go cross country? Looks like you could strap a saddlebag behind the seat and wheeeee!

It only comes fully assembled for ~20K USD. The motor is a Generac aircooled V-twin which B&S actually derived theirs from. It weighs 252lbs. so complies as a FAR103 ultralight. There's a BRS chute in the wing. I've got about 20 hours on mine so far and it's a blast. Yes it's very stable and the stall is a very mild 'mush'. I would compare the ride to being on a motorcycle rather than in a car like in a Cessna's cabin. The the folks in Rolla, MO are great to work with :)
