This was just a meeting to get the male to make a new sperm web.......a meeting that almost cost him his life! He is ok though not a mark on him. He knows when to run!

@SpiderKing389 Sometimes the female just does not want to mate and chases the male off or kills him. In this case he escaped free of harm and mated with her a few weeks later successfully.

@rezimato I disagree. I specifically did it to test her mood. You do not want to let a mm walk up to a female that is sitting there like a stone, that almost always results in their death. By nudging the female you get a quick idea of her mood. Since she was not overly aggressive when I touched her I allowed the male to approach her but as you can see she was not in the mood.
