A raised stage and your partner sliding around under it qualifies as the "magician's code"? Since when? Slight of hand and all that actually used to take legitimate talent, not glorifie stage tricks.

What he meant was giving away the secret.

Judging by the fact that penn and teller and others are still successful despite the public knowing or having easy access to learn the secret to these tricks I'd say no one cares including the audience that the code was meant to keep from discovering the secrets behind the tricks.

Sounds like someone has their panties in a bunch about P&T making you think about stuff critically...
