Elton John singing his smash hit Philadelphia Freedom at the Royal Opera House. I just love it with the entire orchestral arrangement. Don't take anything away from the boys in the band though.....

Sir EJ apparently likes the sound as well. Seems pleasantly surprised. A bit of orchestral punch. Interesting, ...this came to me by a friend of a friend, so please don't quote me, but they said the Live performance with full orchestra for this single song, was a 1st try. If true....that rocks!

@wesselpinballwizard ....since perhaps they are unfamiliar with the original arrangement which was written too quickly? Not meaning Tempo, ....but if they had taken their time....this could have been the original arrangement. Funny, ...a friend told me she thought This version was a bit (slow)....when it's actually stepped up in tempo by a micro-second, just barely, with french horns, and maybe just a few, violins. LIKE :)

the Philadelphia Freedoms were a World Tennis Team back in the 70's Billy Jean King was on the team and she and Elton were good friends so he wrote this song for her.. well he and Bernie !!! also this song came out as we were gearing up for the Bicentennial :)
