The "United Through Reading" Program at the USO

UTR or United Through Reading in conjunction with it's Partner the USO is a program that gives a deployed soldiers an opportunity to sit choose from a variety of children books, and sit down in from of a camera and read to their child back at home. All at no cost to the soldier. Once the recording is completed the book along with the DVD is mailed to the soldiers home. The child can then sit down in front of the TV with book in hand and watch their parent read the book to them.

There are UTR's in most USO locations at almost every Military base. AND... on most Navy aircraft carriers. This particular one was recorded at the USO at camp Buehring Kuwait.
