It's funny watching them just slip off of the dock and let 'er rip, I thought it would be a bit more graceful than that.

Well this kind of launching is also a first stress test, to see whether the ship will stand a bit of a pounding. But compared to the sea condition some of those ships are designed to operate in, this is absolutely harmless "splashing about"!
