Pro Football Monday Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (-4) (8:35PM ET) (ESPN)
We are looking at bad late December weather in Chicago and it will limit what the both teams can do offensively. We are looking at single digit temperatures in Chicago on Monday Night and wind. In windy conditions the field shrinks and it takes away your deep passing game. You are pretty much a dink and dunk team in these conditions and your are carried offensively by your running game. I was concerned about Matt Forte wearing out late in the season, as the rookie has now accumulated 280 carries. We have seen his number decrease during his past 2 games. In 32 carries he has rushed for 103 yards, which is just over 3 yards per carry. And this was against Jacksonville and New Orleans who are not strong defensively. Green Bay has lost 6 of their 9 games by 4 points or less and has been competitive. Green Bay has weapons on offense and Aaron Rodgers can execute the dink and dunk attack at Chicago. Without the threat of the deep pass under these conditions it makes the talented Packers secondary even better. This one is very close and will come down to a late field goal. Take Green Bay +4.
Selection: Green Bay +4
