I attended a symposium in Towshend Maryland feating Bill giving a master class back in 79. He was extremely busy then, with his band and doing studio work. I was studying to be a music teacher majoring in trombone performance. Needless to say, everybody was absolutely floored with his infinite mastery. The most amazing thing was his down to earth attitude. This guy was the best and he appeared just like any other ordinary guy.
