That is a beautiful guitar. I almost got it not only for the gold hardward but for the noiseless pups. Igot an American Strat & bought the Hot Noiseless 3 pups . At the same time I had them Mod my Strat by taking out 1 of teh tone knobs and moving the vol knob down to teh 2nd position. Because I HATE the placement of the Vol knob. Gets in the way of my pinky and I always hit the damn thing turning down the sound, LOL. Surprised that a lot of people feel this same way too.

Where did you get that pickguard? I'm really interested in getting this guitar, but hate the red pickguard that comes stock. It seems hard to find replacements with the extra hole between the tone control knobs.

Bought it at best buy online store.
Its a genuine fender 4 ply pickguard.
Had to drill the hole. They dont make them with the extra hole.
