oh yeah, this joker was definitely borders on being a horror movie villain. fuck, i find it surprising based on some vid on utube of how people had much to bitch about the ledger's joker in comparison to nicholson's joker.

The silence in between him saying "look at me" and the time he decides to look at the camera is about 4 seconds. But looking back to when I first saw this, it felt like forever o_o;

I work at a movie theater. Every time this scene was about to come on for the first week, I went into the theater. Every single time, the audience would be chuckling, then "LOOK AT ME." It's loud, and it comes from ALL the speakers at once. It sounds like the theater itself is the Joker. Instant, total silence. You just don't get how powerful this sounds watching it in a Youtube video. In a theater, it was pants-shitting.

Ledger was so good, the director wasn't even there when Ledger shot this scene. He just let him have a camera and he went nuts with it!
