Bumbershoot is actually an arts and music festival in Seattle. I centered the concept for this video around "guilty pleasure" music. People often have music that they like, but won't own up to listening to because the music might not fit in with other's impressions of them or how they wish to be perceived. Really everyone should be able to listen to whatever they want without being judged, and I think that Bumbershoot does a good job of accomodating a variety of musical tastes. So we see a normal guy who has a secret: he's got the soulful voice of Amy Winehouse stuck in his head, whch the bumbershoot reveals. We meet a dork who loves the smooth, happenin' sounds of The Bee Gees, a farmer type who enjoys the sunny tunes of Mika, and an elderly woman who unexpectedly shakes her stuff to Avril Levigne's latest hit. That's the power of Bumbershoot, it expands artistic interests and is an umbrella for personal expression.
