Here is a test using Daz 3D with Moviestorm. I did this using chromakey, with Moviestorm set and Moviestorm puppets as the background and the Daz AniMATE puppet in the foreground. I finally got it to render - the DAZ AniMate film by choosing no shaders and then it rendered really fast. And there wasn't any loss of quality. I am not sure how easy it is to put more than one character in a scene though. Making a greenscreen scene was very difficult. I had to settle for a backdrop in green screen and that did not cover the whole scene so I was limited in that I could do with the puppet. I searched and searched for a greenscreen scene over at DAZ but did not find one. I tried making one with BRYCE but I couldn't get the colors right.

Also the files are very large even rendering them with no shadows - a gig for 24 seconds. But I will use it for things I can't have yet in Moviestorm, child puppets for one and making crowd scenes and some other things.

  • I have Poser 7, do you know if the Animate works in there?,

    thanks

  • The way I got the AniMate puppet to work with Moviestorm was by using Chromakey in my outside film editing program. You can combine many different animation packages in outside film editing programs very easily.

  • Ok dude can you please tell me how to use more than 1 charecter

  • For Daz you just keep adding characters but unless they have added anything since I bought the software, I don't think they can interact. But you have to buy the additional characters. That is for Daz 3D that is. For Moviestorm you can have as many puppets as you want.

  • To see this movie with better resolution type the following at the end of the URL for this movie:

    &fmt=18

  • Lot's of luck if u can get this installed in your Daz3d program i've had mine for more than a month now and no luck,i've had one communication with gofigure help admitting they have a problem with some mac owners but no help no solutions.i've asked for my money back!

  • I have no idea why AniMate didn't work with your Daz Program. I had no problem at all. I don't know a lot about Macs but I do know that if I have problems with graphics dominated programs on a PC, it is usually the graphics card or the drivers.

  • lucinda the piano playing is sooooooooo romantic

that it was too funny watching this without a slow dance or walt .......heheheeh

  • the Chromakey is to put the puppet with a green background behind, am ai right?, I had thought about that also, it looks a good solutions for many characters or effects, but I want to know if the "Daz Animate" works with the poser 7, I know it works with Daz Studio, but I have poser 7, so I would like to make my puppet animation in poser 7 (because I have a lot of models) and work with them to make the after effects... please make me know if "Animate" wordks with poser 7
