American university students are suffering with more and more debt to get a degree. The same thing is now happening to students in the UK, ever since Labour reneged on a promise to NOT introduce tuition fees for universities - then introducing them (the students were still brainless enough to vote for them again at the next election).
Recorded from Russia Today, 04 September 2010.
Government loves civilians in debt. Debt burdened people will take any jobs they can get, stay in line, are far less likely to strike; because they have repayments to meet and so on.

@jd899 We have our own debt crisis in the UK that is destined to implode... and don't forget we are economically connected to the US. Watch the documenatary online 'Overdose: the next financial crisis' and Money as Debt 1 and 2 to see why were are destined for an imminent debt crisis globally.

@dikkydoo1 I think what jd899 meant was that at least in the UK you are (for now) not being stung for the full cost of the degree, the amount being capped (for now).
Really, if anyone wants to complain about the UK's tuition fees, they only have to look at Labour, who are the ones to renege on the general election promise to not introduce fees, then introduced them when the suckers re-elected them.
