All the ordinary selves with their 5 senses fully operational sense no divinity. And if you sense anything divine, it is not sourced from the 5 senses, but your Self.

All people experience the world through the 5 senses continually and are unhappy. Nobody experiences life fully through the five senses. For that reason every few hours human beings crave to turn off the 5 senses and completely forget the unsatisfactory world, retreating again to the whole and complete Self.

Further, the fact that chastity and God-devotion create sensed, seen, and experienced upgrade of the outer world-miasm is provable to one's self, with the mere 5 outer senses. Boring materialists should try to at least think once a year.

All phenomena, whether waking or dreaming, is transitory. But anything experienced is reality in human terms. This is elementary.

But the five sense don't satisfy deeper men. Men and women, though having the full five senses become dispirited, depressed, and desperate. There is no salvation or bliss in the 5 senses. What humans seek and crave is bliss. In your material path that requires drugs and still doesn't work.

Moreover, the God-seeker get supernatural senses, including supernatural smell, sound, etc. These things (heard, seen, and smelled etc.) are far more entrancing than your boring 5 senses that end with death.
