Oh it's quite charmingly simple, what i did was use a character from the SNK series whom are known to have an over detail of coloring unlike MvC characters. The trick to convert them is remove one of their color sets in their set of colors and convert it exactly as the next shade down. That way it seems as if their is more or a broader shade rather than two extra ones. This simplification creates MvC style. Also try to remove the darker colors rather than the lighter ones so it's 4 sure MvC.
