Part 2of2: Moon Sighting - when/how did it become a problem?

This audio lecture by Br Qamar Uddin explains the background/cause of the moon sighting problems in UK and suggests what should be done to resolve the problem.

It was presented to a group of Muslim scholars from Hizbul-Ulama, Jamiat-ul-Ulama and Wifaq-ul-Ulama in August 2007.

Since then the scholars of Wifaq-ul-Ulama (http://www.wifaqululama.co.uk ) have taken the problem on board and with consultation from many International Muslim scholars (including scholars of Darul-Uloom Deoband, India) have developed a moon sighting criteria for UK in December 2007 based on Shariah principle of Ijtihad (analogy by deduction).
