Circumcision Death

Infant deaths as a result of circumcision happen with some frequency, some have estimated 225 per year, most are covered up by attributing death to the specific cause (ie: hemorrhage) without directly mentioning circumcision.

This death of a baby in Penticton BC in 2004 was one of three deaths in Canada that year directly related to circumcision accidents that were reported in the media.

A tragic irony. Loving parents wanting to do the best thing for their son handed their perfect baby boy over for what the doctor know to be harmful and unnecessary surgery.

While it won't bring this boy back, the doctor should have been held legally accountable for this death. The child would be alive today if not for the doctor's profit-driven surgical intervention on this healthy baby.

Hopefully doctors and parents will learn from this tragic story.

Protect your baby. Don't circumcise.

@joshuabil actually it is sadly probably much higher than that, we may never know but no doubt other coroner's diagnosis are given in some cases to hide the actual case of dealth to avoid lawsuits of parents.

@joshuabil American urologist Dr. James Snyder who deals with botched circumcisions of children confirmed recently the estimate is 200 deaths per year from botched circumcision in the USA.

This is NOT unheard of. At least 100 children die as a result of complications of infant circumcision in the U.S. every year.
