He was a obnoxious, brutishly bullying imbecile who had the poetic skills of a ignorant, monosyllabic, ignorant, dyslexic, disfunctional chimpfingered amoeba. Apart from that I love it !

This is perhaps a better version:
Vain, pretentious, pseudo-mystical word-rape
A drugged-up rock-star's folly
Took you to a car boot sale
Then cried
For the tree that died
So that you might live
- If someone could set it to some light jazzy rock and post the results on Youtube that would be great. Cheers.

Morrison's poetry was indeed pretentious. I used to own one of his postumous anthologies and even reading in the sixth form, I recognised it for the drivel it was. But, at the end of the day he was an entertainer and he entertained. The Doors albums are great. Does it matter that his poetry was not all that good?
Here's a poem of my own:
Jim's pointless, pretentious, pseudo-mystical poetry
Took you to a car boot sale then
Held a memorial service
For the tree that died
So that you might live.

Laughably pretentious poetry from The Lizard King. It's funny to listen to though.
