Pretty good. Very well optimized, runs great. The gameplay is good. It's like a MUCH better version of ARMA2. I love the sound effects. Tactical shooters are not my type of games but this one is great! Good job Codemasters :) Unfortunately, this gameplay is recorded using xFire. I was unable to record this video with Fraps due to a screen flashing problem that appears on the recorded video. It's a game problem. :)

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (often referred to as Operation Flashpoint 2) is a first person tactical military game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 developed by British game developer Codemasters. Codemasters have advertised the game as a tactical shooter designed to realistically represent modern infantry combat. It's a follow-up to Bohemia Interactive's Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, but was developed entirely by Codemasters due to a falling out between the two companies.

The game takes place on a small, fictional island based on the island of Kiska located off the north coast of Japan called Skira and is set in the near future. The island is a contested territory between Russia and China and becomes the centre of an armed conflict when a large untapped oil and gas reserve is discovered there. The Russians who own the island ask America (their allies) to intervene as they are busy dealing with a large Chinese force on their own Russian border. The game begins as the player arrives as part of the United States Marine Corps which is tasked with capturing the island, on behalf of the Russians, from the Chinese military.

Dragon Rising also features a multiplayer mode. In storyline co-op mode, several human players can play through the singleplayer campaign together, each human player replacing a computer-controlled character. There are also the pure multiplayer modes Annihilation and Infiltration, with more multiplayer modes promised for after the release of the main game.

The multiplayer numbers are 16 vs 16 on PC and 4 vs 4 + 3 AI (bots) per person on PS3 and Xbox 360.

In co-op mode, human-controlled characters must stay within 275m of each other.

In PvP missions the area of operations is limited to 4 square kilometers.

  • Think of Call of Duty and Arma2... This game is not that realistic as Arma2 but it's not so dumb as COD. I like to play both games Arma2 and flashpoint2. What I REALLY like about both games - Kids pass them... so we can enjoy multiplayer after work day with grown people =)

  • Watching 3 mins of this trailer the most I heard was "FOLLOW ME!" and "AFFERMATIVE"

  • @xX03DevilDog11Xx now i can say you are really a fathead :/

  • I Wonder Why...

After watching ur gameplay..Operation Flashpoint Dragon rising..

    It Feels like....Boring to me..

Feels like,..not much war going on in thr..not like Operation Flashpoint Cold war crisis. Even though the graphics is worse...but the campaign really is Much more heart pumping adrenaline than dragon rising. And Red River. Jus knew about..im gonna check it out ltr.

  • lol i say that coming at the end of the vid. just runnign around in the smoke, enimy popped him right in the head.

  • @stnwllstv Well whatever.

  • @Brokkolesz I prefer the PC too, just not the controller that goes with it.MP is good but i do like a solid SP.IMO,too much emphasis on MP gives dev's an excuse to spend less money on development but charge the same $60 for a game that otherwise would've had solid SP.I also like to see good AI and have the ability to turn the game on/off when I want or need to,not just when it suits everyone else involved. The older you get,the more important this aspect becomes.

  • @stnwllstv Sad to hear... I'm the total opposing of you it seems like, since I prefer the PC.

+ I buy games for their MP only.

Since I can download the SP for free.

(I know it's illegal, but who cares...)

  • @Brokkolesz I have it for the 360 so I've never played the multiplayer version of this game at all...sadly.I thought about getting it for the PC too but I really do not like keyboard and mouse controls for shooters.I use them when I have to and it's usually more accurate than a stick controller but pretty hard to just kick back on the couch with.Sort of a trade off-intimacy and comfort of a stick controller or accuracy and hotkeys of the keyboard.

  • @stnwllstv OFP:DR is a PC game...

    You played on PS wtf.......
