    infinitely magical. I loved all his live performances, and that truthful spirit which infused his and dealings so

    very effectively and so very positively. I'm a lyrics man I'm afraid? Mr Gaines was an excellent and very loyal

    member of this outrageously talented live band, he added so much in live performance, I felt as though I needed to back -peddle through four decades!

The seeds were sewn many years back but some people did not grasp the beauty of the material that he both wrote and played. Mike's writing was so original at a time when poppy poppy was creeping in. It is a wonderful testimony to Mike Scott that he sang songs of beauty about the world that we temporarily

    occupy. A significant nod also to Steve Whickham, a wonderful guy.
