In the late 20th Century the distinction between soldier and mercenary became blurred. The recent use of "Private Security Contractors" (PSC) in Iraq has been more extensive than at any time in modern history. The brutal killing of four PSC employees in Fallujah in April 2004 made it clear that these "contractors" are not merely workers in a foreign land. But are the lives of such men the only thing at risk when we privatize warfare?
"Shadow Company" explores the moral and ethical issues private military solutions create for PSC employees, for the Western governments who foot the bill for their salaries, and for everyday citizens like you. The filmmakers traveled the globe to expose all sides of the issue, interviewing PSC staff, owners and lobbyists, former mercenaries, academics, journalists and top authors.

  • Fucking animals, im glad fallujah was stomped out by the USMC so hard and over 2,000 camel jockies died at the price of 5 real people.

  • My fathers friend was a PMC working in Iraq, he worked for Olive Security and when he came back he was in a wheelchair having been hit in the spine by insurgents, war is a terrible thing

  • @EndLessReDeMpTion The real job is nothing like a videogame there are times when your bored you sweat your balls off 12-16 hrs a day. being a police officer or a solder is a carrer that is honorable. If you do become A Cop i hope that you dont ever get shot at or have to kill anyone. ITs not something you ever forget.

  • @Grunt922 No there not cold blooded at all they do the same job as police or bodyguards.

they are taking chance of being blown up killed or injured and if there injured instead of killed they dont get military medical retirement. I searched trucks for Ieds for 4 years whats cold blooded about protecting people from folks that want to blow them up.
