Snapping Turtle, Skull Damage and Reconstruction, No Veterinarian Necessary Part 1.

Road Kill Collecting, not for the meat but for the skull ! When a co-worker told me about this monster just freshly hit on the road I couldn't pass it up. The only problem was that 12 hours of sitting in the hot sun turned this carcass mighty ripe. It was not pleasant seperating this skull from the body. The local police even drove by, stopped with the lights on to make sure I was OK and asked WTF are you doing. Without even looking at them, at night, I proceeded, but also answered their questions. They were satisfied, the smell was just too bad and they drove on. Maybe they knew who I was, I'm more or less locally infamous. Their department loaned some Federal Agents some disguises and government county utility vehicles so that Federal Agents and a state officer could rob my back yard of my turtles (mildly put, violate my civil rights with illegal searches and seizures without warrants).
