Jonathan Moreno, to answer your question. Yes, I am a Mason. Masons run many charitable institutions such as many Shriner and Scottish Right hospitals in Texas which help less fortunate children who are dealing with countless amounts of illnesses and injuries, all without asking for a dime. Charity is a Masons obligation. We are a fraternity, much like in a college and like college fraternities, there are secrets that only members know. To put into terms that you may understand.
