Lawrence O'Donnell is also advocating for smaller gas tanks on cars and trucks to save fuel and lives. In theory, according to O'Donnell, if every car was allowed only a single gallon of gas between refuelings, many lives would be saved.

@MatthewPalumbo If the killer is walking around and people are running away, he generally has time to change guns and magazines, as happened in this case at VT.
In the recent shooting of Congresswoman Giffords, that's one of the rare cases where magazine size can make a difference: there's so many people around in close quarters that stopping to change his magazine gives someone an opportunity to (as happened) grab the shooter or the gun.
