2K and Irrational Games take you to the skies above in BioShock Infinite. BioShock Infinite, a new first-person shooter currently in development at Irrational Games and due to launch for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky. The player assumes the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, sent to the lost city to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned there since childhood. He develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.

I miss the gritty, dark look of bioshock. It's part of what drew me to the game. But what do I know. Maybe this newer, brighter bioshock will prove to be more sinister. After all, that which hides in the light is much more scarier than that which hides in the dark.

I don't know. It has some RPG elements in it. Such as weapon modification, plasmids, tonics, all of which alter stats ad gameplay styles. The mix-and-match style is much the same as what most RPG's have.

Afterall, Bioshock is a mixture of quite of few genres.

it's about the climate! the first one was something special, the underwater, the mixture of tech and old, the dimm light, and a great plot.

This one looks so depressingly ordinary. Like anime for kids :/
