Basie Straight ahead is a very hard piece to play in a swinging way, you have to have years of lead experience (trumpet)!
Why is the last note hard to hit? its just a high D, the three notes before are supposed to be high F's, much harder to hit! (which he misses b.t.w., he plays D's instead)
WAY TO GO BASS SECTION, MORE BARI NEEDED THOUGH. first trumpet extremly flat at 0:33 almost a different note, good sax solo. background could come down. trumpets dragging after piano solo. my school group can play this, and we are a middle school. way to go on the last note trumpet. a hery hard note to hit
nobody got's it yet - the lead trumpet is flat! That's partly why it lacks energy. Plus he plays straight, no lead inflection. And boy those last four chords went nowhere - ready, hello?!
good job! but ya i have to say the trumpets need to be on top of the perimid! they also need to stop playing into their stands too. but overall it was good!!
