It's either USA players haven't started getting used to SA3 yet(remember, people went NUTS during Tokido vs Justin), or Watson just prefered using SA2 as a tribute to Mester who used that Super in the past.

Watson has no business playing Yun...he walks back and forth and plays him like his Yang or a shoto character....no divekicks nothing....gessum no wonder Pyrolee had to master Yun because Watson was a disgrace

Doubtful, go look at Mester's matches from the same year. He uses SA3 just like Yun players do today.

Dunno what's up with Watson choosing SA2.
