I have a million questions but I'll only ask two:

1) at around 6:40 or so, he gathers up a bunch of glass.....was he making the marble smaller? or was this to stretch the shape of the flower?

2) an at around 4:35, he pokes the glass with the awl...what was the purpose of that...at the end I couldn't really see how it changed the implosion.

@juliegman Hey Thanks for watching. Q1) Around the 6:40 mark is the beginning of shaping the disc into a marble. The same amount of glass used for the disc is gathered back into a sphere. Q2) The poking is done to create points on the outside edges of the "leaves" of the flower bud. I hope this helps and that you have fun experimenting with different patterns and shaping tools.
