The most effective and beneficial way to manage chronic pain is through chiropractic care. Chronic pain in the body is due to a pinched nerve, and it is due to structural misalignment. Even fibromyalgia. Why? Your structure affects your function. So if your have a pinched nerve, the only way to correct this is through a chiropractic adjustment. There's no other way to correct this, as drugs just mask symptoms only. If you have hard bone out of position pressing on soft nerve (pinched nerve), this means you need a specific chiropractic adjustment. The only thing you have to lose is your pain. Without side-effects. Just because MD's don't know how to help you, it doesn't mean we (chiropractors), don't know how to help you. "Those that say say that it can't be done, should not interrupt those that are doing it!"
Chronic Pain: Common Sources

The most common sources of pain stem from headaches-which are coming from your neck, not your head- joint pain, pain from injuries-auto accidents, and work related injuries- and backaches. We also treat tendinitis, sinus pain, carpal tunnel, shoulder and knee pains, and hip and neck pain.

The emotional toll of chronic pain can also make the pain worse. Anxiety, stress, depression, anger, and fatigue interact in complex ways with chronic pain and may decrease the body's production of natural painkillers. It's been my experience that once we get the patient out of pain, that's when the "real healing" takes place, due to a lessening of these emotional factors. The good news is-"life heals." Sometimes a retracing may occur, meaning the patient has to walk back some of the steps he took to get in that condition.

The symptoms of chronic pain include: Mild to severe pain that does not go away, pain that may be described as shooting, burning, aching or electrical. An example of this would be sciatic (leg) pain. Also feelings of discomfort, soreness, tightness, or stiffness. This usually occurs when the pain is in the muscle. Most patients respond to chiropractic, massage, and physical therapy in our office.

The best way to treat and get rid of your chronic pain is through chiropractic, acupuncture (for the nerve, circulation, and meridian (energy flow), physical therapy and massage (for pain in the muscle).
