trust me ... ;) i work with this stuff everyday and i got an amazing CPU to render is totaly different then recording / recording doesn't need so much work ;) and if you put here the best quality it won't be visible cuz the youtube quality is low =/ they convert the vid before adding it ito *.flv so it loses lots of quality

Try googling "discombobulator." It's a script that basically generates a city for you if you get the settings right.

so render is definitely a choice than recording, nothing hard about render just gotta wait, if you got the best computer rendering should make it a lot faster...

naw it won't be as bad if you convert the vid first to mpg file format so youtube doesn't have to decrease its quality, you should always decrease it yourself which won't be as bad as what youtube would do when degrading videos quality...

Its a old school method, that was very popular when I made this. Radiosity. Well its not old but alot of people dont use it. lol

well done i want to make a 3D city in blender but i don't know how to start.

its not too hard if you go with simple geometery and then work up from details its kinda fun if you know the basics behind extruding it should be a breeze doing details is fun also only if you like stuff try using google earth to get a feel for the buildings first email me or pm here sorry on the wait
