Very apt song about jogging.

Sadly Fred Wedlock died today (4th March 2010) aged 67, so I feel it is timely to share some of his great songs with the world. He'd recorded more than 20 albums of his trademark humorous folk music.

His CD albums can be bought from:

  • Love Fred forever! Does anyone remember a song about a car going the wrong way in a one way system? A bit of it is going round and round and round and round ... you get the picture! The only bit I can remember is: "..... you've got un in a right ole mess some'ow. Thee's been an gone and got un in a right ole pickle hasn't? Wass bist gwan a do about it now? ...."

  • Saw Fred live and brilliant every time. What a funny man and a west country hero. RIP

  • We used this at my grandfatrhers funeral as he completed 28 marathons

  • @johnypegg He used do do the fresher's week concerts at Swansea Uni back in the mid and late 70s.

Never would start until the bar closed and kept going 'till his crate of beer was empty. Brilliant! Keep on folking Fred.

  • In these days of fast paced life, and all the stress we get from work and all the other mundain things we do to get try and keep our head above the water,

Is'nt it a welcome relief to play Fred on youtube, and just let your cares fade away

RIP Fred, you were and still are an absolute star

  • The world needs more of this! RIP.

  • RIP all the best .......this is the song for me

  • I love this song, mentions the pubs of Ashton and Bedminster, places of my mis-spent youth!!

Thanks so much for posting these tributes to Fred, much appreciated.

    Rest in peace Fred
